Aarhus was a wonderful place for a port visit.
All the guys thoroughly enjoyed their stay. This town has a population of
about 100 000, making it (I believe) the second largest city in Denmark,
but still dwarfed when compared with the cultural metropolis of
Copenhagen. Aarhus is a university town, and as a result the downtown is
full of cafés, pubs, and an exciting nightlife. We were lucky as we had
great weather during our stay. A friend of mine (who I graduated
university with) and his girlfriend, live in Aarhus and were most gracious
hosts to myself and several friends. Thanks, Greg and Tina, for the
wonderful home cooked dinner and the all the hospitality! I would recommend
Aarhus to anyone who's looking for a quaint town to relax in and enjoy a
wonderful walking-only downtown full of interesting shops, pubs, eateries,
and a superb atmosphere. |

Jever, Germany |

Jever is the home to a Squadron of German Tornado Fighter Jets. Above left
you can see all the hangars on the base, each housing one Tornado. Almost
looks like a suberb! Above right is a photo of a Tornado taking off.

When we disembarked, the boys got a little sticker happy with the Lynx
helicopter parked beside us. You can see we make our mark! Rest assured
however, we had our fair share of stickers on our helo as well.
